Facilities : Nice & clean facilities except showers cost 2 x 20c per 5mins and can sometimes eat your money.
Tasmania just continues to surprise us. After awarding Swimcart Beach in the Bay of Fires (CAMPSITE # 56) with the our best free camp to date... we never would have thought that we would find yet another favourite within just a few days. But Tasmania is simply gorgeous, how could we not? Thanks to its fantastic location, right on the beautiful White Beach, and its leafy & quiet setting, we would like to award White Beach Tourist Park first prize in the "Favourite Caravan Park" category.
Things are not looking good for us at the moment, for some reason when one things break, everything else decides to break too. Firstly Boo Bikes Boo and now this...
We had a 200 litre water bladder that managed to fit nicely amongst the shelving unit on the right hand side just over the wheel arch. Tom set it up so that we had a hose fitting out of the front & along the top for ease of refilling. Thankfully, Tom noticed a little bit of leaking coming from the bladder and thought that perhaps it was the fittings. So, he (thankfully) removed all of the water from the bladder. Turns out, it was more than just the fitting. The water bladder is, well, buggered. There was only one option left for this $300 investment...
So, now we face a struggle. We need to come up with a new water solution and FAST! We thankfully have a 25 litre water container that we can use in the meantime but until we come up with a new wizzbang solution (and hopefully a cheap too) we stuck with a very limited supply of water. We'll be in Launceston on Friday to collect Ben & Soph, who are visiting us for a few days, so hopefully we'll come up with a solution then. Otherwise, we will be VERY thirsty for the rest of the trip.
