CAMPSITE # 104 - Troopie's got new shoes

D-Day had come. All we needed to do was get the Troopie into Adelaide City and drop it off at Beaurepaires to get some new shoes fitted.

We filled up our 6 hours of the day in the city, window shopping and dreaming of all of the things that aren't in our budget. We did treat ourselves to lunch at Hogs Breath Cafe with Kyle and Rachel... it was quite a treat. Particularly their Super Rocky Road Sundae which all four of us shared and still felt like we ate way too much at the end of it.

The boys swapped hats while walking through the middle
of the city centre. I walked 10 metres behind.

Afterwards, our new tyres were ready. We now have 4 brand new Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tyres. We also kept the two front tyres, one as a spare on the back door and the other as a carcase to go on the roof.

Rough!!! Now we mean business...

After saying our farewells to KFF, we departed Adelaide knowing that we had a lot of ground to cover in order to be in Perth in two weeks. That night, we got a head start on the driving and stopped just short of Port Augusta...

Site : Port Germein Rest Area
Rating : 7 / 20
Facilities : Great view of the ocean. Rest Area is about 100metres off the highway so it's not as noisy as some others.
