CAMPSITE # 14 @ Inglewood by Bruce Mackay - Day 2

The sun did the right thing today and we all even got a little sunburt drenching and vaccinating the sheep. Tom needled all the lambs and was an instant expert. Today we were joined by David Cossart a regular attendee on shearing weekends. Sadly our chef (Lindsay) left camp this morning to fulfill family obligations after doing a great job feeding us all with a curry dinner last night. Lunch was a barbeque steak cooked on Plough Disk Barby and we were well satisfied.
Tomorrow is the big shearing day and all the sheep are now in the shearing shed waiting for the 7.30am start.
We got Amy to help us draft the lambs off from the ewes by taking charge of the drafting gate. After a short time we decided to give the job to Tom. Tom did a really great job.
We did have one frightening experience towards the end of the day when the head of the Bookham Chapter of Hells Angels (Schoey) visited us late in the afternoon and made threatening gestures to us all. Apparently he was looking for Amy's brother Stuart, saying something about him owing him some bottles of rum and it was time he "paid up". Amy was quite tramautised by it all.
Early start in the morning so goodnight from Day 2.
